Fuel blends
My car has been in storage since late October. I'm keeping it there till April.
Basically I just was wondering if people know when the summer blends typically get released. It's still cold here in Chicago and when I put it away it had the winter blend. I'd prefer not to mix the two. Is there an official date?

While the refineries switch over by now, the pipelines, terminals & tanks at your station take a few more weeks to get used up. It's a gradual process so I wouldn't bother waiting. No one pumps the station tanks empty, they just blend in the spring juice as it arrives.
I tested the E85 at my local 2 weeks ago and it was still E75. Prob will be until May as the volume sold is pretty low.

Our 94 gas has a lot more than 10% ethanol. Since 2011 all 91 has a minimum of 15% which is how they get the extra octane from 87 and they do it again to 91 to get 94%. I've talked to Petro Reps before and they all say it has over 20% percent now.

I guess the blends won't matter as much as long as a get a few decent logs and make sure it's all good.
I just mostly wanted to know so I could get as many inconsistencies out of the tuning as possible.

That's not true. Shell specifically states on the pump the vpower contains no ethanol.

Just wondering about running the 100 octane how much will that throw off a/fr ?. Not that many around where I live have the E85 and if so it's to far of a drive to get it. Ther is a station with 108 leaded race fuel tho. Just trying to find out some info on our cars and how the diff fuels effect it.
