fuel management

just out of curiosity is it possible to to use a piggyback on the tc. and for all u smartolics that leave rude comments please do yourself a favor and leave your comments to yourself!

No. piggyback = failboat captain. The factory engine management is increadibly complex, the very last thing you'd want to do is throw a "piggyback" that's designed for a port fuel injection engine into the mix.

If you need to make alterations to the calibration, do it the right way with HPT. It has more control than a piggyback could ever offer.

I wouldn't recomend it. The direct injection requires quite a bit of control. It would be better to tune the computer.

something like the AEM F/IC will work

BUT! u would be retarded to use a piggyback if you dont need to. which you most def dont

Just as an FYI for anyone that thinks this would be a good idea

MAF signal is frequncy based. To my knowlege noone make a piggy that operates at the frequncy range of the GM maf.

The injector drivers in the DI motor put out 65volts! Im pretty sure there arent any piggybacks that will drive those. (the flyback on them must be HUGE!, hundreds of volts)

people have been running the AEM and SMT products on cobalts since there intro.

The lnf's ecm is a different beast and that aem f/ic would most likely not work with direct injection.

putting a piggyback or standalone on a lnf will result in


standalone will only work if you leave the stock injectors in place, disconnect them and use efi which is stupid as hell, di i way better for the lnf.
