Hey all, ne one with k&n intake installed can you confirm your BPV sounds like this at WOT when it hits the fuel cut off ?



if i make full boost n let off it makes this noise... i dunno if its normal or not (no flutter tho) 30 sec mark is where the noise is.

I'll try to get some in cabin videos tonight, it sounds the same only more muffled in cabin. if i don't make full boost n let off it sounds as i would expect it do a normal psssh sound sound. this is just so abrupt sounding...

 

Yeah thats normal mine does the same. It sounds funny as hell. Its just because when you have an open cone filter it make the bypass noises more audible.

Does it sound like a pidgeon....if so, mine sounds the same in max boost on the airbox mod.

That dyno is in bayer's lake (outskirts to the city i live in) the dyno itslef isn't that high up its just the angle haha thats funny tho there is like a drop off at the edge of the lot and this is like 1 space in from the edge.

 

Sounded like a clean blowoff to me. BPVs can make all sorts of noise. As long as it doesn't flutter or leak, and you get a nice clean blowoff sound, you're all set.

it's not on a roof, it's on a trailer by a drop off from a parking lot lol, as for supra sounding i dunno about that they have more of a flutter to them than this, this has no flutter.

 

I can't wait to get mine in. The K&N drop-in is good but I don't notice much/if any difference from stock, MAYBE slightly louder but that's it so it'll be nice to get that turbo whistling and sneezing. And given all the problems with the stage kit, i'll be on watch too.
