Probably a dumb question but......... Whats the difference between a full sweep electric gauge and a short sweep electric. I want to get an oil pressure gauge but Im not to sure If I want to go electric or mechanical. Electric is nice but its alot more expensive. Anyone have a mechanical gauge? Thanks guys.

 

I've run a mechanical oil pressure gauge into the cabin before. It is very easy to do, but make certain your connections are good. Use Teflon tape at every union and wherever you tap the block.

Also, don't tap the head...that is a pretty worthless spot to measure your oil pressure from.

Keep an eye out for leaks...because they can happen.
