Getting ready for the track(Questions)

I want to hit the track soon. the temperature is droping here in central florida.

i just wanted to know any tips for pumping some race fuel(100+) at the track for some runs. is it okay to run the car home with that? never used anything other than 87 in a nonboosted car. now i have this TC and i'd like to hear what other people did.

did you run pump gas? did you use race fuel?

thanks

Be careful with lead in race fuel, make run havock on the O2 sensors. Not sure how it will affect these new widebands in the TC's

The lead has a habit of coating o2's and making them not work properly.

I use avational fuel if I go, I know its not meant for cars, but for planes at high altitudes,

But from my days of having to pull my o2 out of my shelby after every track run to clean off the lead(PITA), I switched to 100 octane low lead(LL) av gas. Plus its cheaper than race fuel at the track, just have to go to the airport and buy it.

Around here its about 4.60 a gal at the airports, where vp or sunoco race fuel at my local track is 8 dollars+ and fully leaded.

Or you could use this stuff to boost octane without any lead, can get it at any paint store.
