yea there has been too much hype about the camaro's, **** i want one, just because i see them everywhere lol.... but that's not a college student's car. *aka my parents won't cosign for me* lol...
even tho i don't need a cosign. i'm still gonna finance it. Blah i want this cobalt ss soooo bad, **** needs to hurry up and fall into place so i can go get one
i'm not gonna buy no pontiac. i just like some of them. well i really like GTO's and what they can be...
i'm a foreign car person. but my dad doesn't work on imports. so i kinda had to get a GM car. so if something breaks (not gonna be under warranty with a tune and performance parts) my daddy can fix it for free!!! hahaha

Interesting, there is still a plan to build the LNF for the Cobalt for the 2010 model year (last updated 4 weeks ago) Although we did have a meeting saying they were pushing back a lot of vehicle launches and idling plants because A) No one was buying ****. and B) They couldn't afford the parts.

When i go to work this afternoon i will ask the plant supervisor if the are only doing special orders.We ride motorcycles hes a good dude. Also the loading dock for the motors is near me and i have not seen any turbo motor blocks unloaded since DEC. They usually stock pile the blocks prior to us building them because we do about 400 per shift. They might be saving money on parts. The turbo blocks are a special order for us. They might be waiting to get a large SS order in. So if you ordered a SS dont hold your breath to get it on time. I will post the info tonight when i get home around 1am.
Also talked to union rep last night. The Cruze is still on track and GM told them the Cruze is a major priority to turn the company around. They now have the ability to build 6 different models from this platform in our plant. Which i am guessing SS coupes and sedans even might be a convertible in the mix.

With GM in more trouble now... Here are some facts from inside GM as told to me by a relative that's been an engineer for them over 25 years...: The Camaro SS is on permanent hold... The RS camaro with the 365 hp 5.7 will be coming,........ The ZR1 maybe put out to pasture by spring 2010..... And Geeeez some of you really dont keep track of things in the auto industry, (the GTO's were made from 2004-2006...>> LS1 the first yr and LS2 for 05'-06')...... The G8 (aka Grand Prix) is just a four door GTO but the hot model is the GXP with the new vettes LS3, still a big heavy boat with poor MPGs, this G8 GXP will be gone soon... and are to be sold in very limited production ........ The production run for the G8 is said to be 5 years but sales or will determine how long the G8 stays in production...
I'll give the G8 1 more year at most....

SS isn't on permanent hold. Production just got pushed back a month from Feb to March now. The SS is being built along with the Camaro LS and LT models.
What's on permanent hold for now is the Z28, oh and the Convertible is on hold until 2010.
RS is appearance package only available on both LT (I believe 2LT only) and SS models.
Anyways I saw it was corrected prior but the cars that you modded sound sweet.
From what I was told, or what I know the G8 is supposed to have a few more years at least of a model run...
Interesting though about the SS/TC...

you make no sense if you have cash to pay for the car then why in the hell would you still get a loan???why pay interest on something that you can pay cash for? Sounds to me like you are full of ****. I hope that you learn something on here because it sounds like college is not helping you at all.
obviously if i pay cash for everthing i won't have credit. and i'm 19 this summer and still don't have a credit card and i need to get one, and i need to start building my credit... that's why i'm taking out a loan. it's a credit building opportunity. and i need bomb ass credit. so this will help

lol thats funny you calling me the *******. even if you do want to get credit just pay for all of it except 5 grand and then get a loan for that amount. I dont know why you feel the need to brag to a bunch of guys that could give a **** less about your fake ass but its truely sad. no one ever answered when i asked if literally everything on the 2010 Cobaltss is the same? i mean are they going to look exactly the same and preform the same? hopfully better?

haha k thanks... yeah i like the new ones... i think its gonna be halarious when you see ppl's face after you beat them in a race with a cobalt. everyone thinks of cobalts as being little **** cars but the SS is pretty cool i must say... The friends ive told about it have been like "eww you like that?" then i take them to show it to them and take it for a test drive and they always change their minds... cool cars
does anyone know if there are gonna be new colors or options? or will they be the same? i'm sure GM will offer the stage kits already out with them if they are unchanged too right?

Do you realize what it takes to change the color of a car ?? The inside of the engine bay( prlly have to pull the motor to do it right ) inside door jams...sill plates , inner trunk . It will be an expensive paint job due to the man hours ripping a new car apart to paint **** thats hardly seen.

Please do, esp with my lease ending in 3 months I was considering ordering a 09 Summit white, w light gray, interior loaded (RPD, LSD, Bluetooth, USB, Sunroof, spare tire) and last time I checked with a dealer there wasn't one of those in my available in my state, so if I can't get one by the time my lease ends looks like I'll be getting something else...

My SS/SC is black, love it but don't want it again. Eh, also liked Sunburst orange metallic but they haven't made that in a SS for a couple years. Silver if I can find one maybe... Really want white, but I might just get something different entirely.

yes i like the metallic colors, but if they aren't going to be making anymore i'm gon be pissed... i've put so much time into trying to buy stuff for this car *havn't bought anything yet but i have a list lol*... idk wut else i can get if it's not this... i mean the cobalt beats everything in it's class. and most things in the class above it as far as performance. :sad panda:
man idk. i might be getting an older car only thing is i wanted the good gas milage and i want a 2.0 DOHC. i luv these engines... maybe i'll look into a sky redline *even tho there is no back seat*, course i'll just have to use the trunk instead of throwing my backpack n junk in the back seat but i like those cars a HOLE lot haha. god their sexy... and staurn ain't to bad...
has anyone seen HAHN's redline? omg that bitch is hot! i want one just like it lol.. i could have a lot of fun in a roadster. n i won't have ppl trying to ride everywhere with me. haha (only two seats)
another plus is hahn still makes parts for them. so it'd be equally as cool as the cobalt would

Well good news for the guys that want turbos. They pulled me off line putting trannys on to build TURBOS. A truck came in today with the blocks but no cars built yet. I built 20 turbos tonight. They told me to build them till the racks are empty. I am on 1 week on 1 week off. So i will call the dayturn guy next week to get his total of what he built. I think the way everbodies talking we are building them till the models change to the Cruze. But they are waiting to get big orders before building them. The Turbos are hard to build. They are all on the same line as the G-5 and Cobalts 2dr 4 dr. You have to watch the build sheet to make the car that is ordered.
