Gm Stg 1 vs. Custom tune

OK i got a question.

I know the tune for the ss isnt out yet, but are u going to get more hp out of the gm stg 1 or a custom dyno tune ( depending on the tuner of course)

BUt my next question, is if u have the gm stg 1 and get a custom tune will it be better then just a custom tune?

a custom tune can always be better than a manufactures tune. The stage 1 kit will provide those new sensors so yes the tune can be better or so we are thinking than a stock ss w/ custom tune.

custom tune is WAY more powerfull! that being said, rumor has it that IF the general comes out with this infamous tune, it will have an optional improved intake and better MAP sensor. it is also presumed that the pesky "learn down" feature will be removed as well. so from what I understand is that the gm tune with a custom tune over top of it would be the best. just my .02

for your first question, custom tune for sure no question. Question #2, custom tune on top of stage tune will prob. yield best results due to the replaced sensors.

well stage 1 is the tune and sensors, stage 2 is the intake. Some people just got their stage 1 kits and I hope to see what they can get using HPT...be interesting.
