GMS1 Combos

So GSM1 is now on my car. I plan on adding a catted DP and K+N SRI.

Not sure which I should go for trifecta or HPT over my GSM1. I have a good amount of time

left on warranty so what I wanted to do since I have the sensors installed was get a second

pcm and do a selectable tune with GMS1 as my DD tune and Combo as my performance tune

OR just a combo tune selectable isnt my biggest concern. All while having a second pcm

sitting around with my GMS1 only tune incase of warranty issues.

This seem like a doable scenario?

I understand my GMS1 wont take complete advantage of my SRI and DP thats why I am looking for a tune over my GSM1.

Trifecta base file to remove the cold cat warmup, constant fuel pressure & raised boost duty cycle to 95% up top.

HP Tuners on top of the TF base to get it where it needs to be.

TF leaves too much on the table with a rich WOT mixture IMO.

Which suite do you use once you have the combo tune to fine adjust after datalogging?
Or does each have parameter they set due to different access? So in theory to change tuning state would need both suites updated?

Also if I get ahold of a spare pcm since this would be my tuning pcm. Would that matter since it doesnt have the GSM1 base file on it ? (assume if you get one its a stock tun in it)??

You datalog & tweak with HPTuners. A Trifecta tuner flashes the base file and yes, Vince has it for the GMPP 3 bar sensors.

Drivetrain and engine repairs are more expensive than a good tune though.
