Canada GMS1 Question

So i was planning on getting a tune when i working under my hood today and seen a bosch sensor on the exhaust manifold. i just bought the car, so i out 2 and 2 together thinking about how i just brought my car in for an engine light problem and the service guy told me its been in for an *update* probably for a recall. I cant tell u how many psi im boosting cause im canadian so its in stupid kpa, but do u guys think im tuned or should i ask the gm dealer what the update was?

15psi=103kpa
20psi=138kpa
Stock you should be around the low one. Tuned you should be around/above the high one. Sounds like you have /had GMS1.

If it has a blue sticker and and says bosch then you have the 3 prong map sensor. Look at your lower charge pipe on the passenger side and if you have the same thing then you have the 3 prong tmap sensor. If your boosting anywhere around 20-22 psi then you probably have the gm stage 1. Just double check with the dealer and make sure.

everyone gets so excited for a gms1...just skip that, put a downpipe on, get a custom tune and you spent the same amount of money for more fun.

My car has 10k on it, if **** hits the fan, I want the dealer to fix it. That's why I'm going with gmstg1. Once my warranty is up, I'll go hp tune and then if something breaks, I'll pay for it.

Just so you know through steering wheel controls you can turn it from "metric" to "english" which also turns your RPD over. But thinking about the sitaution if you don't have an RPD it won't help...

272hp and 290tq with just gms1? or gms1 with a tune? because those numbers are low if its a tune + gms1

^Im thinking he might be talking about gm stage 1 with bolt ons only. I thought the kit was rated at 280 and 320 ft lbs? Those 272hp and 290ftlbs would be the numbers I would expect for stock with gm stage 1.

Yea that's all it was just the gms1 in his car ! I have a trifecta tune ! Yea that gms1 kit is a little over rated but it does the job to give you a little more to keep you happy but not for long aha
