Performance Autowerks, $86 with the connectors & pigtails.

Get the GMPP tune base file for HP Tuners, and go from there.

http://www.performanceautowerks.com/...oducts_id=1712

2 sensors, (GMPP base tune & HPT) or Trifecta.

As was posted Vince at TF can tune without the sensors if you want. I like the better boost control with the 3 bar MAPs.

Waiting on the TF/HPTunable tune to arrive now.

I take it one senor goes into the top of the intake manifold and the other goes into the cold side charge pipe?

From the factory, you have a 3-wire MAP sensor in the manifold, and a 4-wire TMAP in the coldside pipe. The GMS1 sensor are both 4-wire TMAP sensors.

ok ok...

so I found this site:

GM Performance Parts -- LNF Turbo Upgrade Kit - GM Techlink

now, with what you said having a 4-wire TMAP in the charge pipe...would I only really need to buy 2 of these 3 bar MAPs and 1 wiring harness? You know what I mean?

You have to do both pigtails. The factory TMAP is 4-wire, but with a different connector.............of course.

There is NO benefit to having these sensors with a trifecta tune. Your RPD will still work fine without them.

Yea I agree...

I'm just trying to get some info on these things so if I have to pull the trigger and get some, I know whats up. As of right now I'm just going to get another 2.5bar one if I can find one or I'll just order it from GMpartsdirect or something. If it craps out, then I'll upgrade to a 3bar

Yeah, I wouldn't do it unless it was a last resort. Be sure to install them yourself so you don't have some newb idiot doing it.

True, everything will still work fine. Ive had the GMS1/22psi Trifecta tune for a while with no issues. But in MY particular case now on a 24psi tune, a combination of my driving habits and NLS while on tune have cause me to go through 4 manifold MAP sensors. This only started hapening after I upped the boost to 24. They lasted about a month and then would pop. Some ppl havent had any issues boosting higher than than and not popping MAPs. I have. That being said, I purchased the WERKS kit with pigtails and Im going to install this weekend. Others that have done the same agree that it gives you a little more control fine tunning the boost and no more blown sensors.

Hey, for the price, the WERKS kit is a good deal. GM wants like 80 bucks just for the connector! lol I like my 24psi tune and figured why not try the kit out and see what happens. I may need to invest in meth soon too

Yeah Ill let you know how it goes. Ive gotten tips from other members that did it and the general consensus was to take your time and double check your wiring. That and follow the GMS1 install instructions to the tee. Right down to using red loctite on the bolts since your down to using one from two bolts. Otherwise its straightforward if your good with wiring.
