GMS1 Sensors

Do I need 2 of these sensors when upgrading? Not buying the whole kit, just plan on using these sensors with HPTuners.

3 Bar MAP Sensor 55206797

Also, what tables from a GMS1 file will I need to copy over?

Oh, and yes I plan on using the adapters

You need to order two o-rings from CED, also. They will replace the stock 3bar sensor o-rings, that are too small for the 'Balts. You can just copy the GMS1 file from the HPT repository.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

Just searched the tune repository and there's only stock tunes or a few from BYT, no gms1. Does anyone here happen to have a stage 1 tune or even just a copy of the tables that need changed?

I was under the impression that most of the tables that GM changed in the GMTU calibration are tables that HPT can't see. Not to mention it writes a whole new OS.

I think the only real option is to find an untouched GMTU full read from HPT, and do a write entire on your car with that.

I'm not saying that it's the exact GMS1 tune: it's just an HPT tune that is comparable to the GMS1. I thought there used to be one on there.

I was under the impression that the sensors from the GMS1 tune were very helpful, but not entirely necessary for a tune.

Not necessary. I'm tuned now without them, but anything over 22psi is kind of a crapshoot. I'd like to be able to read exact boost

Use the new sensors & write the sensor data into your stock tune with HPTand proceed from there. The info has been posted many times on the HPT forum.

The stock file (vs the GMS1 file) has less turbo nanny in it.

Thanks, I found the data to put in on hpt.

What exactly is turbo nanny? You mean like making it spool slower for torque management?
