Going To ZZP Soon, Already Scheduled!
Made my appointment for June 25th. Getting dyno tuned and a 4.45 trans plus a new stage 4 clutch put in. Debating on getting the 5th injector now too.

Not getting the stage 2. They're modifying my stock trans and rebuilding it to hold up along with adding the 4.45. My input shaft bearing went causing me to lose all my trans fluid out the seal at the input shaft so it was either a new trans or a rebuild.

Tranny had been gone. It was just a matter of time. I found a BUNCH of metal shavings about 6 months ago on the oil plug and the speed sensor as they are both magnetic. I'd say I was around 350whp as my timing was pretty low.

Just curious, did you do a lot of NLS with it? I am wondering if that may cause this or something else.

Nope, only NLSing I did was a few runs spinning down the 1/8th mile and when running another SS/TC both with the stock turbo and clutch on 93 octane. I found metal shavings in the trans when I replaced the clutch. I also replaced the fluid with new fluid from the dealer which costs $25 a quart. ZZP will probably just replace the fluid with Redline MT which should help on wear/tear.

But the original owner probably nlsed the hell out of it. He looked at me like I was stupid when I short shifted the car when I test drove it. It wasn't like I went WOT so I wasn't being hard on the drivetrain.

Ok, I thought you bought new. The previous owner most likely did a few NLS from what you say. I suppose those whose looking to buy a used GTR would have the same concern hearing what it cost for a new tranny.

Nah, I bought my previous balt which I NEVER had any non-typical issues with new and due to stupidity, family deaths, and circumstances it ended up in a ditch and totalled, lol...but yeah, I'm really not that hard on the trans. The clutch slipped since I had the car but only in 5th with a bunch of people in the car. The car gradually went
downhill after I got it. It just lost more and more power, multiple boost leaks caused by being lowered and my mpx fmic bottoming out. I have since replaced almost everything under the hood thats mechanical and slowly getting back to a reliable car.

Got the power steering recall and the ignition lock cylinder fixed before I go to ZZP. Drove the car 5 miles to the dealer with the trans making noise the whole way. Told them that I know it spunds sweet but not to take it for any joy rides as the trans is about gone.

3 days.
Just incase any of you guys come up and stay like I am doing in Grandville just a mile down the road from ZZP, Russo's has some really good pizza! I was too tired to go anywhere after the almost 9 hour drive, so I had them deliver directly to my room.

Which one? There's like 6 mexican restaurants here on 28th Street! Lol!! I'm like a mile from ZZP in a Days Inn with a pretty decent room, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, hbo...reminds me of dorm life except this room is bigger and no one had hbo in the dorms! Tim could have given me a great discount at the Holiday Inn Express but I had already booked this reservation with Expedia.
