Yea, they'll eventually die though lol. Mine did and I was on a 23 psi trifecta tune.

well if i make 500+ im DD mines that why im building it as careful as i am, granted i will have a boost controller but building my car to enjoy!!! just my .2cents, forgot who is willing to sell their kit but would you trade your 256et for his GT35 if your going for bigger power numbers? doesnt the GT35 compete with the 6262?

yes, both turbo are almost the same but each one has different maps, a/r sizing, material made, customer base, etc..

Yeah ima be the one selling it or if someone is up for trades. only thing is i gotta take the turbo to get looked at.. my buddy told me theres a shop 30min from me where they check out turbos for free if they need rebuild or if there fine.

and if i getting the 3bar map from pwerks will that be the best choice for know even if i have some bolt ons and want just to tune it?

Sell the turbo and get something more suited to his needs i.e. A better turbo for good power and DD capability. No one on here has a 500whp+ that they daily drive. I GURANTEE you the ones that have that kinda power only drive it on weekends or event days.
Please. Dailying the car at those levels is a joke. My car drives Damn good every day in traffic and is hardly different to drive than stock. Given my turbo isn't as laggy as a 35r but 500whp doesn't change the driving characteristics of the car.

^^^ roger that... just becuz u have 500+ at your disposal doesnt mean u have to beat on the car daily and every day im pretty sure when ur daily driving ur car at your power level you has a sense of discretion. i mean plenty of cars now a days come with well over 500 but they are not screaming down the highway, but a gud thing to have if one of those pulls up next to me, which is why i would like a boost controller i can switch from street to race settings.

Prepare you car for power before throwing power at it. No sense in throwing a turbo on waiting for the day to come for something to pop, when you can have supporting mods already done and boom make power. I would actually trade that turbo for a gtx30r

Seeing as how you don't make 500whp I'm not sure how you'd know. Before your panties get wadded, that was me kidding. I know you *probably* make that with the boost cranked up.

Also, changing anything on the car changes the driving characteristics. It's not impossible to daily drive a high horsepower FWD, I know that. I was just saying people dont typically do it. I was also eluding to something you hit on which is that the 35r isn't going to make for a very enjoyable DD setup on a car like ours.

I have a gt2860RS that will keep you in that range a little better. Could easily get rid of yours and buy mine and have cash left over for the other parts you would need.

Disco Potato!! . In all honesty, that turbo isn't much different than the stock turbo.

x2 28rs is slightly bigger than k04. I wouldn't say it's worth it. :/

Wouldn't have to worry about lag at all though. My turbo spools super fast. All the K04's I've seen on cars around here feel like big turbo supra setups compared to the disco potato. And I have one on my car right now that's at 17 PSI and I'm right around 350whp, so still has some room to grow too. I think they were only rated to 350whp... Either way... Ill let you do your research, I'll let it go for cheap.

talk to Evo and STI guys, it's commonly used on those platforms, easier for them to spool.
