Got hooked up
From what I've read in a different thread, the AEM intake is superior to other models because it relocates the MAF away from the heat of the engine bay. I guess the MAF gets warm and causes the engine to think it's getting less air than it is (due to inflated IAT1 readings), and it pulls fuel to accomodate. This will throw off fuel trims, and possibly cause knock. Someone with more knowledge can chime in, but it certainly sounds like the AEM is a winner.
