remove bumper....remove stock ic....remove crash bar....mount ic using crash bar bolts....attach crash bar....put bumper back on.....turn up boost

 

Just got done ripping of my bumper and crash bar for my impending TR10. . Time consuming but not difficult.

after looking at that DYI i just have the intercooler... not the elbows... take it i gotta oder them?

they dont tell you but its an extra 50 dollars for the couplers.

Man. Treadstone is on fire. You figure if you ordered a TR8 for a Cobalt, they would let you know you need to buy the couplers.

 

they have the tr8 and the tr8 beta kit for cobalt....im sure it was easily confused or something was accidentally left out. either way contact them and they will make it right. and its not $50 for 2 elbows, it is $50 for 2 elbows, 4 silicone couplers and 8 tbolt clamps.

DerekDTP! just call them up and let them know that you want the cobalt beta kit. it will include what i listed above and the total cost is 300 plus shipping. from what i gather you just got a tr8 intercooler and have none of the supplied parts that i listed. just pay the difference and get the parts that you need. if you are still running stock charge piping you will have a couple clamps and couplers left over but they will probably come in handy and its cheaper to get it all together as a kit anyway.

Also make sure your TR8 has the correct mounting hardware. You want the side mounts that are on the end tanks NOT the one with the brackets on top!

 

yeah theyre on the side lol... buddy might have some elbows i can use

 

Just order the Treadstone ones. It won't take that much longer.
