GT tuner

Clear Image Automotive has something called a GT tuner where you tell them what mods you have and they custom a tune for you and send the handheld to you in the mail then when you are done you send it back to them. I believe they are priced around $250. Does this sound like a good deal? Has anyone used it before to share their results?

I could see it for an LSJ...not for the LNF. Way too may factors with the LNF that I don't think the tune would be that efficient.

UNLESS: They have spent significant time tuning the LNF and recorded what tune to have set for each set of mods. Even still with people using different brand mods and sometimes interchanging different brand mods....I don't see it working as well as it would need to. IMO

Yeah Clear Image goes through Vince at Trifecta performance to tune. Just look around the 2.2L section. From what I hear he can tune all the engines but not sure of the LNF just yet. Vince does great work. You put what mods you have and he creates a custom tune for you're car using the GT Tuner. Once reflashed you data log the car using the Tuner and he fines tunes it for you through e-mail updates. I had zero problems with my tune for my old 2.2L, loved it.

Oh and it is a custom tune not a canned tune like people believe it to be. You data log the car. Every tune he makes is set for that individual car.

ive used it...its good stuff..and he custom tunes...all you need is that gt tuner and a sd memory card...that you will provide when the tuner arrives....then you just plug it in to the obd2 port and upload the new tune...if you leave it plugged in...it will data log your stuff to the sd card and then you send vince that info back...and he adjust your tune and send you the new tune which u save to the sd card and then upload it your ur ecm through the gt tuner....its a fun process
