Bolded part is truth.

Remember when everyone first started doing 2.6/60s? How many cars blew up from that? More than from nitrous, i'd bet.

Dont compare the lnf to a v8, the direct injected lnf runs a tiny fuel droplet size compared to what the nitrous nozzle will spray. You'll be messing up the beatiful harmony of what is direct injection. Im sure steve will tune it right, but the amount of people who run nos on a direct injected engine on a daily basis is pretty slim.

Speaking of blowing a car up..
From another forum..

A bottle blew up sitting in my buddy’s driveway.

Thanks god no one was driving it!

This F-Body “was” a mint car before this.

Well, I was just going to post a question of a thought I was having. I'm thinking about going with Stage 2 with a 50 shot and I wanted to know round about where you guys think that would put my 0-60 and 1/4. But while we're on the subject, how good of an idea is that for my motor? Experienced members only please.

Mid 13's 1/4, if everything is in working order. These cars run real good like that.

From the looks of it your buddy had a black bottle in a black car sitting in direct sunlight and had a safety valve malfunction thats what seems to have caused his problem again poor installation of a system. He should have had a saftey valve with a blow down tube if it would have functioned correctly the car would have been fine and so would the tank.

Thats fine and all but what about all these diesel guys who run nitrous?? They also are irect injected and I know at leat 3 of them spraying 200 every chance they get I know a diesel is a completely different animal but ither than spark plugs and a lower compression ration its not that far from a diesel and beside i could allways run a dry shot I have plenty of injectors to cover the fuel I am only at 25% duty cycle.

I know but its pretty obvious the cars not on fire and the bottle is split along with the valve completely missing so the only other thing it could be is a presure malfunction which sitting in sunlight can def happen. Especially if the little pressure disk on the valve malfunctions.

yes

and considering propane is VERY flammable(unlike nitrous), they are morons for doing so... if your nitrous leans out and back fires, you blow your intake off... in a diesel, it can ignite the propane in your line, run back to the bottle, and you've got MUCH bigger problems...

this is also why ECMs are now set to detect any changes, people have been modding cars for a while and it wasn't an issue... Enter diesel owners throwing banks kits and propane on their diesels and then trying to get warranty work done and you can quickly see why manufacturers got very pissed off... Because diesel owners were abusing it with their banks kits...
