LOL thankfully no snow here but Dust from my gravel road has me concerned ..
Any intercooler taking a hard enough blow to do that dmg would've also had issues either then or down the road....simple as that.

I guess synapse raised the price, I picked one up for 450 in Nov, it was easier to do that to send my other in for the updated welds vs sitting around w/ the bumper off for 2-3 weeks. That will make it easier for me to sell the other when I'm ready (and its not for sale atm)

Other then Term I havent heard any complaints on the Crazy Steve IC....you just get what you pay most of the time

Yeah, your car was like "WTF Mate?" your car felt betrayed and believed you were going to a Hyundai to trade him up. So, it decided to take out its own intercooler and said "FU you can't trade me now, can you?" "I thought you love me" LOL Yeah, I'm sure that was on the car's mind.

I hit a raccoon last week and destroyed my IC. I just took the genuinesaab.com IC (Taliaferro) to the bodyshop this morning. They're going to put it on for me. I'll let you know if there is any issue with the install, but the unit looked great. It's supposed to be a direct bolt-on. It was shipped to me for only $309. The stock unit is $412. I won't have any way to log anything after it's up and running, but it was a solid part that looked very well constructed.

The bodyshop just called and said they couldn't get it to fit without charging me extra time at $80/hr. The secretary had no specific details for me. Oh well. I tried. I'll put it on myself later on.

Yeah its not a "direct bolt on" some fabrication is needed , the only part I do not want to have to dick with is extra silicone couplers , If all I gotta do is cut some stuff and make room for the bolts bend a bracket big deal , if they don't bolt up to my CIA charge pipes I will be pretty pissed off but I called GenuineSaab.com that is how you order it and they said they have had problems with peoples after market charge pipes and fitting issues but I have a pretty good source for silicon elbows so if all I need is an extra 45Degree angle elbow big deal .

Atleast genuineSabb.com was very genuine and exposed the problems to you

I called both Synapse and Dejon which if you look at the units they are almost 100% identical units in both size and price, Synapse cores are a week out and have no intercoolers in stock ready to be shipped , they acted like their **** doesn't stink very poor customer service and Dejon won't budge on the price and have them in stock even though hardly anyone on here has one from dejon and all I can find on them are negative remarks on all forums and crazy steves IC is about a 50 50 up in the air type of product so I will gladly buy a cheaper product and hope it works knowing they have great customer support rather then dealing with companies like dejon and synapse who think they are gods gift to earth .. over priced **** speaks for itself .. I feel sorry for HAHN

I was impressed by the build quality of the IC. I'll be able to get it to fit, after I get the car back. I'm pretty confident of that.

This way, at least, I'll have a stock IC as a spare, paid for by my insurance company. I was just trying to make things cheaper, but it didn't work out. It's hilarious that the stock IC is $412.

Synaspe has great customer support....sorry they couldnt bend over and assist you at that exact minute....Out of all the companies I've delt with, few could match the assitance for Synapse....

You get what you pay for.....cheap ebay core vs garret core

OEM parts are always more expensive...You could find OEM intercoolers for much cheaper then that, thats just "list" price or what is often referred to as over the counter price. I could pick one up for 200'ish any day of the week

Well I suppose if you are going to sell a product and want to someone to buy it you better have it on hand .. Bend over ? thats kind of a stupid antidote after all I wanted to do was BUY a product. Jeez I'll make sure I never call a vendor again and ask to buy something.

200 Big deal I could buy a used stocker for 130 shipped to my door from a rockymountainecotec club member. no sense in boasting Synapse as you are whats your reasoning for it because of you own a Synapse product ?

Because you whined about them on customer service because they didnt have the part in stock for you, and stated when they would have them. What more would you want? You expected them to bend over backwards for you. And yes I did go w/ the Synapse intercooler...because of core design and a few other reasons. Installing a larger intercooler does mean its better, core design has a lot to do with things. A cheaper core, could infact cause a REDUCTION in power even if it is a larger core, and a smaller core could infact increase power over the stock setup. Its all about core design, and you get what you pay for. Dejon/Synapse are using similar type cores, which after researching them I found to be the best bang for buck in design.....I found their customer service great, so much I went ahead and purchased a new one from them (when the one I purchased used from a forum member was delivered dmg'd but they repaired for me for free covering the shipping, as long as I covered the shipping to them). I doubt any other vendor would be that kind....and speaks volumes to Synapse customer service.
