Here's my problem with this, have you given the vendor time to make it right? Now if you contacted the vendor and they won't refund your money or correct the problem, I can see going to bash them on forums. Yes I agree it should be right from receiving it, but it doesn't always work out like that.

O well gunna try some more stuff tom....

In the mean time I broke my AC pressure switch trying to bend the cold side into position . what a figging POS Crazy steve intercooler is PURE JUNK
I had the same issues with mine. I tried everything to get that POS to line up. It was not even close. I sent them detailed pictures showing the enormous fitmant issues. All they did was blame my CPs which line up just fine with the stock IC. I would never do business with them ever again. I got my money back but not the shipping cost ($35). I stand by my assertion that genuine saab's IC is a huge piece of junk.

Sorry to hear about the IC I was hoping it would have arrived while I was there so I could see it to and help ya. Hopefully Genuine Saab will make it right and all will be well.

Yeah thats cool it only took my half an our to get the fascia off it so no big loss the big loss was my time wasted trying to figure out why the Crazy stee genuine saab intercooler wouldn't fit no matter what I did ,

Hope your tune is making you happy ..

i wonder if this is contingent upon what intercooler piping you have. I have noticed that the dejon piping + Crazy Steve intercooler has worked out well from what i've seen. Is the dejon piping more adjustable than the others?

Just wondering if the original poster, or any of you other upgraders/replacers, would be willing to donate or cheaply sell me you old stock intercoolers. Despite the plastic endtanks and easy-tear-off moisture traps.... the cores them self are actually pretty nice... And lend themself pretty well to custom fabrication... Take a tig welder, and some aluminum, and weld on some new tanks and whala!

I bought my cobalt with a busted up IC... cold side plastic destroyed, moisture trap torn clean off... but it is on its way to becoming a nice new all aluminum IC for my Cavalier.

So thought if any of you were just going to scrap your old OEM IC cores... i would offer to take them off your hands.

No, all the CPs out there are designed to fit the stock IC. Genuine SAAB's IC was test fitted on a Cobalt with stock CPs. As everybody knows the stock CPs have long flexible rubber hoses attached to them. Even if the spacing and angles are off it will still fit.

They cannot even make proper 90* bends and weld the fittings on in the correct positions. Seems like they do not have a proper jig or they measure once cut twice LOL.

Well Synapse IC cores are still not even available yet so , I just got the Dejon , garrett core 100% identical to the stocker fit should be a good IC pressure tested looks good

That one should fit a lot better than genuine SAAB's POS IC.

LOL Infowars.com or Prisonplanet.tv or www.prisonplanet.com/

Infowars has a live radio show everyday but you just gotta take some stuff for what it is . It is meant to get a rise out of people but for the most part they are talking about real things in the real world , not the main steam media BS ,

Check out Jesse Ventura's new show called Conspiracy Theory on Tru TV

Yeah, I just decided to keep mine. I'm gonna make it fit one day or just sell it to somebody. I figured it would cost me 75 bucks to return it, so I can just sell it to someone for 225 dollars and still be ok.

To both of you - if that plate broke enough to hang off I guarantee you cracked the end tank on the intercooler on the side that was still attached. I dont have time to dig up the pictures now but it creates a hairline crack that is next to impossible to spot with the intercooler on the car. You will be running lean when not under boost, rich when under boost, and may even eventually set a code, not to mention sucking in unfiltered air. I posted pics a LONG time ago when I did that to mine, unfortunately it happened to me before any aftermarket ones were available. I now have a cracked intercooler, a perfectly good stocker, and the hahn..

The problem is it hangs down lower than the bumper and is almost one of the lowest points on the car. When it is hit on a curb or a parking spot or a steep driveway (thats what I dragged mine on), the design allows one side to break free before the other, and since the other side has two nipples, it leverages that to crack the plastic. Hard to explain, makes sense if you see it removed from the intercooler.
