Question Hahn intercooler

I am curious if switching my inter cooler would be a worthy addition with my current mods ,I know that running cooler is healthy but would the gain in performance be worth enough for money spent ? I dont plan on any more tuning as this is a new car.

I am changing mine out.. after sitting on the fence for a little over a year now... When we looked into it we discovered that there are some major restrictions on the inlet and outlet of the intercooler. The core itself is fine, but the flow through it is restricted. This doesn't mean you have to go with Hahn though... A friend of mine went with a crazy steve intercooler and has had significant success... I am personally going Hahn because it is just a little higher quality (imo) and to me it is a once in a lifetime investment. You are probably looking at a tune though due to the change in the pressure drop across the intercooler...

Our stock IC is good up until 400hp. As said above our only downfall is plastic end tanks. If you want to be a big baller and just waste money (like I did lol) get the hahn. But to be honest your setup does not need it really, but if you have the cash, why not do it, cooling does help. Now if you're talking about doing some big stuff, then yes a ic would be good for you at some point. But for now, you're good. =)

uhhh large doesnt always mean better for stock tiny ass turbos people. We need to see the specs on pressure drop and cooling etc.

I hope im not digging this threat up from the grave. But Ive been thinking about doing some cooling mods. I came accross a mod guid stickey and descided that "rout 2" was best for me.
This includes getting a new Heat Exchanger. My understanding of the physics involved here is fine. I'm no engineer, but I have a descent grasp on whats going on with the system.
Termonology is my weakpoint....

From what I understand our "after coolr/innercoolor" whatevers use TWO heat exchanger. One after the super charger in the intake. The other is in front of the car behind the Air Conditioner Condinser. (Sorry, spelling is also a weakpoint) From what ive seen, the idea is that you add the new larger heat exchanger in front of your condinsor for the AC. And then the coolant runs though both heat exchangers, first one, then the other.

A few questions about this setup.

1: Since your placeing it in front of the AC Condinser, your raising the intake tempature to the AC Condinser, and possible Engine Radiator itself. Does this cause a noticeable differance in the engines abilty to cool, and in the function of the Air conditioning. I realise that you dont use the AC when on the race track, but this is also my daily driver. Hince why im going with "Route 2"

2: This increases the volume of fluid in the system, does this load down, or wear out, or decrease the service life of the IC pump?

3: What is the correct term for the heat exchanger in the front of the car?

4: What is the correct ter for the heat exchanger in the intake after the supercharger?

5: If I upgrade the one in front, do I need to upgrade the one in the intake as well?

ops and i Just saw this was in the LNF threads instead of the LSJ threads. sorry
