Betting he popped the cold side end cap on the stock intercooler. Pretty common problem.

Code is p0101 as Cobalt08ls told me. Already told them to check the intercooler end tanks and charge piping for breaks. Idk if they did or not. P0101 comes up as a maf code but more often than not it's a boost leak.

Time for new intercooler. It is inevitable and it happens to almost all of us. I didn't want to believe it when it happened to me either.

Check where it connects to the throttle body cause its hard to tell, but it's probably the IC end tank.

Easy way to see where the leak is, spray your charge piping, intercooler, and intake manifold with some carb cleaner, when the motor sound changes you've probably found it.

Make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand though just in case or propane is a safer alternative.

i wanted to take the bumper off and all nut he was too pissed.
only way dealer would void his warranty is if they check for tune and that caused this problem
he said the car wouldnt start. also showed the video to a friend and all he was saying was bro ur engine is done you broke a rod bearing that sucks.
how he can assume this i dont know but wanted everyones view on that kids comment saying the engine is blown

Either it's the intercooler or you guys jarred loose a rocker arm or busted a lifter. Your ticking is really loud in that video, louder than I'm used to hearing.

yeah op which is my buddy jeff thinks the engine is done. i wated to pull the bumper off but it was getting late and the kid mike who is having the problem was pissed ans just wanted to go on
if he flashes it to stock tune like he says he is than he will be in better shape when they take the car in than if it is tuned. but regardless they would have to proove the tune causes the problem inorder to void anything.

other mods are zzp 3 inch catless and k&n intake

Broke the intercooler. You smell gas because the car is running really rich due to unmetered air being pulled in to the system, post-MAF. Dude needs to calm down, pull the bumper cover off, and replace the intercooler. The dealership doesn't have to prove anything. That's BS. All "proving" anything means is having a certified technician (professional) say that the issue was caused by the driver. How hard is that?

What they will do is just scan it and see you guys flashed and it and that's it. Any ECU manipulation is automatic warrant void. At least write entire the old tune back on to help cover up that it was done.

I agree with intercooler comments however, the ticking in the head does sound worse than it should IMO. The motor is probably fine though.

so all he has to do is get a full flash to stock correct?

Your questions have been answered and your just going to say F it and trade in a car that does not run? You will be lucky to get 4K for it not running properly.. Why not take the advice of the people here and test for a broken IC. and while your at it do a compression test just to see if the motor is really done. then make a decision instead of just thinking ill retune to stock and have the dealer look at it Which will entail higher labor costs than doing it yourself, SInce your out of powertrain warranty id suggest fixing your self. Or take a 10K hit on trade in!

They could sell it for 17K once fixed but what's it going to take for them to fix it? to buy a broken car they will low ball you hard like really hard! If you want to you can pick it up from the dealer and tow it home and atleast TRY to fix it yourself, You haul tow trailer and a buddy with a truck would be a godsend in this instance! and some plywood incase your lowered!
