Help
Sounds like intercooler bud. Just check that. It takes an hour maybe to get it off and back on maybe another 30min to an hour if your new at cars maybe longer. But i have had many issues with snapping lifters and throwing rockers. It doesnt sound like that rally but wouldt hurt to check
they said it threw 4 codes 1 maf another for high voltage in the turbo/supercharger area and another 2 they said warranty ECU and thats it idk what else they didnt say but i think its more then that i guess we will see im gonna keep my stock flash on and just drive it lol i might lower boost if i tune again just scared me
i will keep it updated
i will keep it updated
ok update dealer put new ECU in and mAF car runs now fine but still wont boost they are popping the valve cover over to look at rocker arms and **** to see if i ABUSED it i guess they can see how i drove the car ergarding RPM wise and see if i over revved it. ecu was covered maf was $123 and have to pay for 3 hours of diagnostics into it for $470 so far car wont boost told them to pull bumper to check for leaks or run boost test all codes are gone

You heard a big boom because something broke and suddenly released 20PSI all at once. I'm betting cracked end tank, or charge pipe blown loose under the intake where you can't see it very well. Pressure test would find it in a heartbeat, but your dealer is tossing parts at it and charging you to do it. a MAF you didn't need and 3 hours of diagnostics to not find the problem. Good for their bottom line, not for yours. Thank them for trying, pay them the 3 hours, then take the car home. Go to Home Depot and make a boost pressure tester for 20 bucks and find the leak.
lol is there a thread to show how to make that i mean they have the head off well about to and car just wont go past 0 in boost its crazy im about to just do that^^^^ how come it would run with the MAf out and not with it in seems to me there just looking to **** me

I'd love to charge people labor and just toss parts at a car till it's fixed
You're getting taken for a ride bud.
they said no boost leak so dont be a dick to me brolike wtf im here struggling just keeping people updated and i wil never EVER go and get a tune from NICK at BYT his customer service is **** and so is his attitude people dont go to him find another tuner
Just one question....did they truly boost leak test your car or just look at it and say a boost leak definitely wouldn't cause that....because to be honest a lot of people on this site know the LNF better than the chevy technicians do...
car has been at the dealer for 3 weeks tomorrow. they are waiting on 5th gear which is on backorder.
all they tell him is 5th gear. who knows
Good luck dudebro.
There's a reason I've only taken my **** in on recalls and when it was under the bumper to bumper warranty for work.

I have no idea how Nick even got dragged into this? that reaction just made no sense to me. Maybe it was a reply to the wrong thread?
Again, the car owner is paying unrealistic money to replace parts with no return. His call, his money. Hope he has a lot of it.
All I can say is that I've heard the boom before, as has Wangspeed, as have several other people in this thread, and EVERY time it's been rapidly escaping compressed air - caused by a sudden and massive boost leak, such as that caused by a cracked end tank or a slipped charge pipe coupler.
