help a brother out
Ok well first things first all i have is a typhoon intake. I was driving my car the other day and I had what i think was a huge backfire and then no boost (I'm guessing I am in limp mode). I went and immediately checked IC piping but connections were good and no breaks. I threw a CEL so i scanned it and it was the MAF sensor (P101 if I remember correctly). I reset it and started my car and it would shut off immediately. So I have been driving around with the MAF connector unplugged. I bought a new sensor and plugged it up and the car ran fine but still no boost. I didn't have the scanner so I disconnected the negative off the battery with the headlights on for 10 minutes to reset the system. But then I had the same problem with the car shutting off when the connector was plugged into the MAF sensor. Does anyone know what I should do? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
did you check your intercooler endtanks? One could have blew, severely throwing off your maf sensor. Either that or for some reason your car is fouling out mafs. Have you reoiled your air filter recently? Just wondering if the oil was fouling it up.
I had nearly the same thing happen, although when I reset my battery or power down the car I would get my boost back until I was cruising with the gas just enough to keep speed. I ended up changing back to my Injen CAI and that corrected my problem, no typhoon for me
