So I just recently sold my Superchips tuner on eBay. Since it sold on Saturday, today I'm shipping it out. My car worked fine yesterday. But today, I got in, hooked up the tuner, set the car back to "stock", and tried to start it.
Well, it doesn't start! I tried to jump start it with my dad's car, but nothing.
The radio also turns on/off like every second.
My lights inside the dash also flicker..
All i hear is a bunch of clicking sounds, coming from the engine. I'm pretty sure that the car's battery is perfectly fine since this is my daily commuter.
I have to figure out a way to start this thing.. Any help??

 

clearly messed something up when changing it back to stock. try messing with that. or see if unhooking the battery does anything.

 

try calling superships.. tell them the problems and see if they can help you out.

dude i need to send the programmer out by TODAY! i cant call them, i dont have time.

 

last thing i would do is send out the programmer lol. need to get the car going first.

 

^^^^this....contact the buyer and explain the situation and that you will send it out asap. Just be up front with the buyer so they understand why there is a delay. Is the battery dead? Try having it tested. I certainly would contact superchips though. good luck!

 

so i figured out the problem.
i found somewhere online, that some other dude was having the same problem.
he said that taking out the keys, locking the steering wheel, unlocking the steering wheel and then turning on the ignition will help. AND IT DID!

 

Every once in a while we get the reminder that we are driving Cobalts.

This was such a big fail..
I still don't know why it spazzed out on me!
I've tuned/de-tuned it many times before and this never happened..
And people still wonder why so many people dislike "American Muscle"...

 

....weird **** can happen on any car you tune. Problem is you have a canned tune handheld...not a full blown laptop device. Also did you make sure the firmware on the device was up to date?

 

yeah, everything was up to date. i updated it every time i hooked it up!

 

I have superchips on my escape...I have that fear every time I touch it haha. its eletronics...any and everything could break.
