heres a video of my new issue

just a brief explanation, it seems the bypass valve is leaking after 10 psi. but it ran right for about 5 mins after the new intercooler was installed.

I'm surprised you're not throwing a code if you have a leak. I would take out the Bypass valve and see if there's a tear in it. Should be easy to check.

Check the coupler to the hotside of the intercooler. I found out the hard way if you scrape you'll push the intercooler back making it push the silicone coupler up to the frame seam and cutting it. I did not hear this boost leak.

not sure where you can find a block off plate. The Evo X runs the TD04 I believe. The IX that I has runs a ummm.... Not really sure on that one.

i seen on an evo site where a guy took out the bpv and flipped the diaphram over and reinstalled. said instead of trying to stay shut its forced shut....would this mean it would still function or does it mean this would block it off and ill check that hotside boot fasterisbetter

I wouldn't be so sure that they're bypass valve (or block off plate) is the same size. I thought I remember somebody bringing this up a month or so ago and the plate was the wrong size.

Check to make sure the vac tube that goes to your coldside pipe has not come off at the coldside pipe nipple, right next to the TMAP sensor.

Also, if you install a block off plate, you have to use the diaphragm as a seal, anyway, so it it's torn around the edge. you'll have to buy a new one, anyway.

Another question: Does the TD04 perform as well as the K04? I have a TD04 as a spare, in case I blow my K04. When I bought it, I didn't realize that it wasn't a K04, but I'd like to keep it instead of re-selling and buying another K04.

Yet another question: Which IC did you end up going with?

i went with the zzp IC and it looks like its well built and is claimed as the biggest ic that fits these cars! as for the td04 in my opinion its spool time and power is identical, that is what time my car has ran right lol

So this was the exact issue. The vacuum hose blew off the charge pipe nipple so I got a better clamp and haven't had any issues since! Thanks for the help guys
