Hks bov

Hey guys I want to get an hks blow off valve for my cobalt. I am given to understand it's not particularly a good idea but I just love the sound is the any way I am able to get one without running too rich and losing boost in between shifts?

Not with a Pre BOV-MAF system.

your best bet is to relocate the MAF to the lower CP, by buying ZZPs lower CP with MAF relocate. Then you wont get rich spikes when you shift.

The rich spikes are not a big deal. Are you tuned at all?

So you recommend not going with a blow off valve to avoid headaches?

Eh, its up to you. as long as its setup correctly you wont have any issues. but if its not setup right, you're gonna have problems.

its your car, im a ricer and had an HKS on my EFR turbo. it was awesome. no ***** given. BUT i did have my MAF relocated to the lower CP

nope. ZZP sells the lower CP with the MAF housing. just get that pipe and a MAF extension cable and you're set.

you do need retuning when you relocate the MAf though.

I was in that boat for about a year and now I run a forge bpv. The car runs so much better with a bpv. Even with maf relocate and turbo block off plate, the amount of revisions I needed with bov was ridiculous. I'm also very picky lol

If you have the money, it's worth it for kicks. Just get a CAI or SRI like the other guys said. It makes a nice crisp noise when you let off the throttle. Audible from outside the car...

Yeah start with the intake. It's the biggest sound mod there is on the LNF. It's night and day with K&N intake on.
