hollow out 2nd cat?

was wondering if anyone has hollowed out the 2nd cat on the stock dp. anything from it or just little louder

That's ghetto, man. Spend the money on a good ZZP catless downpipe if you want more sound. It's cheap.

Probably best to just get an aftermarket one. Cat material is pretty nasty stuff to breath in. It's a carcinogen.

if you dont want the stocker anymore, either sell it or go sell the CAT to a shop. those things are going for some money. then buy a catless DP. Not too expensive.

wasnt looking for the sound just curious for power, eventually i will go with a new downpipe but after im out of warranty

Takes 20 minutes to swap out the downpipe. Keep your stocker if you need to go in for warranty. Just don't beat up the bolts and nuts too much.

Yeah i agree it makes not sense to destroy a good cat, plus if you have to smog it you might want it in good working order, get a catless downpipe they are pretty cheap compared to most parts for the car.
