hooking bov
hooking bov
I installed a Pwerks Turbo kit running a zzp bov. I'm only getting surge ans the vacuum line is t'd into the vacuum line into the Intake manifold. How do I hook it up so the bov works
Hook us up with some pictures dude, and also what turbo did you get? Is there an internal BPV in it or is the BOV all you got? The BOV line shouldn't be "t"ed into anyting. The stock vac line connecting to the BPV should be removed and get connected straight to the BOV.
It could be your spring but unless ZZP told you to install it that way, try running the vac line that ran from the Vac solenoid to the stock turbo/bpv. I noticed you plugged that up. It also looks like you have the vac line that goes to the lower cp plugged as well.
Here is how mine is hooked up... The top nipple on the vac solenoid is going to the "T" that is conencted to the intake manifold (this is only because there is no nipple for the vac line in the lower cp, this line needs to be connected to a boost source). The nipple on the left (passenger) side is the one that originally ran to the BPV, this should go directly to the new BOV, and the one on the bottom (closest to the front of the car) goes to the vac tank. Hope that helps, this is how mine is hooked up and it works for me.
