Hot intake manifold

I was changing my oil today and you know when you're taking off the oil filter cap your hand rubs on the intake manifold. Well that thing was hot as crap. not quite burn hot but very uncomfortable to touch.

Question is, is it normal for the manifold to be hot? I was tuned the other day and also right before I was driving normal, was not getting on it or anything. I honesty dont remember if it got hot when I was running strictly GMS1. Once again, thanks for the input.

its probably cause you make more torque than me . As long as it was at normal operating temperature coolant wise, the whole engine bay will get hot. Aluminum dissipates heat easily, however that same benefit is what causes it to heat up quick. I would not be even slightly concerned, its just heat soak.
