How are the Avid Transmission Mounts?
Avid Transmission Mount Set 05-10 Cobalt SS - Motors Mounts
I'm thinking about ZZP or OTTP motor mounts, but I saw these.
I don't even know what rotated means or what it does for us and from the other thread I read apparently ZZP's mounts aren't rotated, but they're just advertised as rotated, but they still work good. ZZP's would be $200 total, Avids are $230 and OTTPs are $290
I did a search and from what I understand ZZP's perform better than stock, but OTTPs are better than that because they're truely rotated.
So to me ZZP is my first choice, but an extra $30 isn't too bad if Avids are better.
Thanks
I don't want a brand war, but if you guys can just give me your opinion on the Avids that'll be great. I read plenty on the ZZP and OTTP war with mounts, I don't need another.

I just want wheel spin control I guess. Now if this is totally uneducated reasoning I'm sorry, but I'm under the impression that mounts help engine movement to aid in traction. I just want something basic and will work I guess. I don't need the best.
...well the best gives you the best of both comfort and traction. The cheap ones will shake and work ok. Ottp aka powell stage 1 if you make around 300whp or DD. stage 2 if you want to drag race.

After I'm dialed in from Vince I'm sure I'll be around 310-320 so would stage one be okay. I launch seldomly and I drag maybe 3-4 times in the summer.
ya stage 1 is fine. Stage 2 is for the people who want to drag race a lot. I have stage 1 and I'll be tuning my car this spring so I'll have idk 310-330whp I suppose on the hpt. Its worked great on the road course and autox racing as well as the street for dd.
