How much boost can stock LNF hold?
I was looking around the forums couldnt find the answer to a couple questions..
In your experiences, how much can the stock motor hold for boost with the stock turbo.
As I read I pciked up on a few things that i know i would have to upgrade, but mostly just bolt ons. I already have intake and about to buy a ZZP catless DP, soon to buy full catback too, but would I also need to upgrade intercooler and charge pipes?
of course ill need a tune but do you think it'll be able to hold 23-25 psi

Okay I was planning on running 23 max to be safe but maybe I'll do 20. Not to sure yet. If I upped the psi would I 'need' to upgrade the intercooler and piping?
stock IC might or might not pop lol. Mine finally did after about 30k KM. Stock piping is fine. 20PSI if your racing as a DD 22-24 as what most people say. Biggest question i have is, are you tuning with HPT or TFT?

Alright. Might as well upgrade the stock pipes too Lol make it look a little better under the hood. Nothing like looking at oval pipes Haha.
Would recommend an aftermarket IC to keep IAT down, but stock pipes aren't a problem, perse.
this is my recommendation. replace all plastic on the motor side of things. intercooler, intake, charge pipe. intake doesn't matter much since there is no pressurised air going through it but it sounds better and looks better with aftermarket. charge pipe have been known to split on higher than stock boost. not often but rather be safe than sorry. intercoolers have been known the break an end tank quite a few times, due to boost or cold temps and hitting a bump or something. and last but not least, if u really wanna be safe, replace ur rad as well, it also has plastic end tanks with plastic mounting pegs. I just broke mine and replaced it with an all aluminum one. others on here have also broke theirs. Those are all the concerns ull have with plastic crap on ur car as far as I know, now u can choose what u wanna do with this info
Since everyone has thrown 20-24 around, Nate and a bunch of other guys had a really fun time correcting/proving me wrong since there's like 4 or 5 of them running 27-30 psi and holding just fine. After 24 you start to only see your torque increase but with 27 or 28 psi I think Nate said he was pushing 420 ft lbs and 330 (?) for HP. Tuning is key though. After 25 psi the K04 start's to get hot but you can benefit in my opinion.

Sooner or later they will break is the point everyone is trying to make I think. It's a crappy design, and if you are gonna spend the money modding might as well replace plastic parts.
