How much oil 09 SS?

How much oil does an 09 SS take? I have an 06 SS which I know takes around 6.5 quarts, I am assuming the 09 takes less, why would the 09 take less than the 06?

you can get 5qrt mobile 1 jug, so you just pour 1 jug and bam done although I've only found it at walmart which...I have a hard enough time parking near.

I wouldn't take any chances by adding more then it asks for. Which oil you use is completely based off of opinion anyways. Everyone has their own view on whats best. Some like to stick with what GM recommends which is Mobil 1 others like to switch to oils like Royal Purple. Personally I just stick to Mobil 1, but I'm tempted to switch to AMSoil.

weird, Um well when I fill mine with 5qrts it shows 1/2 way on the dip stick so what you want to do is add most of the jug, ie. 5qurts. run the car to get the oil moved around, shut off car, check dip stick and see where it is at. if its 1/2 way on the dip stick dont add more, but if its lower you could. You can save the old oil for lube, or stock pile it for use later in topping it off.
