HP Tuners Launch Control
HP Tuners Launch Control
Hey guys, just got my new SS tuned Sunday and was just wondering if anyone else has gotten their launch control adjusted with hp tuners. I read that you could adjust it with Trifecta but didn't know hp tuners could control it as well. Anyway, it is set at 3k and it still spins a bit but I think with some sticky tires I might actually be able to get a decent launch out of it!
Any gear with the clutch depressed will trigger the desired neutral rev limit. Once the vehicle starts to move the ecm will move onto whatever commanded rev limit is set for any given gear you are in
I tried this before and it seems pretty pointless, it doesn't create any load on the engine. You plant the pedal to the floor but in hptuners you can see the pedal is only 30% open or so to keep your desired rpm steady, its no different than you actually holding the pedal down a bit to keep the rpm steady.

You actually have the most control of all of us. With the e67 you have the option of setting up your rev limiter control as either throttle limited, spark limited, fuel cut limited or some combination there of. You can even have more fun with it than that if you really wanted..
The e69 we can only tell it when to cut and in what gear.
I added the Launch Control & NLS to my LS3. Nice to have all the spark & fuel limit tables. lol.
Yes.

Its not pointless I have the exact same launch control settings as the OP since I too was tuned by Nick. It will bog out if you drop the clutch yes, so you left off of it a little slower to get your ideal launch. it works! And since the load isnt clutch catastrophic at that rpm, you can do it without too much risk to the clutch.
Works well on the street anyway lol.
