Its exactly the same.
The car was lifted to replace the axles and the whole bottom of the car is baked in oil. The oil pours out of the push oil drain fitting when the car is in boost. Looking back from inside the car is just a cloud of blue smoke but recording from another car the smoke comes from under the passenger side.
Thats probably why there is no smoke at idle or driving slow.
The push fitting is pushed in all the way so I dont know why its leaking.

well I'm back at square one, have exhausted every possibility other than valve seals and turbo, so, next weekend maybe I'm gonna pull the turbo and put stock back on and see what happens. then ill know for sure if its the turbo or the engine. if the turbo. 71 zfr it is, if the engine. possibly ldk with a 71 on it or get zzp to send me a built ldk.

I was thinking that if you got it high enough and we're working on concrete, you could drop the whole cradle onto dollies and pull it out. I've also heard of some bringing it out of the passenger wheel well. I'm no expert, I'm sure others who have done it can comment.

well upon observation my car does seem to smoke while driving and at idle as well, just very little. I can smell it, and at idle I can see it, u have to look close, its not very much. but its there. while driving slow I can always smell the burning oil when the wind brings it my way or when I slow down.

tom have you contacted borg warner to see if they'll look at the turbo or if they recommend any local turbo suppliers/repair shops to check it out?
I know it's a royal pain in the ass to have to remove the turbo just to check things out and i'm not sure if you have a daily other than the cobalt

so I invented this ingenious way to test turbo seals with smoke machine, if that's how it works anyway. took out o2, so I could see smoke coming out if seals are in fact bad. well nothing came out. had a lot coming out the dipstick, which is normal since it would go to oil pan through oil drain, but if the seals were bad enough to let oil past, smoke should have come out the o2 sensor hole, so it would seem turbo is fine. my combustion chamber passed another leak down. my plugs don't looks oil fouled at all, so only place it would be leaking if all that good is the exhaust valve seals, which would leak into the exhaust manifold and skip combustion chamber. so damn. now to decide if I want a new engine. ldk, or just a new head. or I guess I could just replace the seals. which I could get a built one or just stay stock. don't really care for more power, so built probably not.

ya pretty sure its the seals. if I put smoke into the intake manifold, a small amount comes out the oil cap, no other way for smoke to come out the oil cap but through the seals. also I put some compressed air in by the nipple on the manifold, most of it escapes though the tb and intake system, but I can hear some squeezing past the seals. or at least one seal. to make sure I think next week ill take valve cover off again and smoke it again and see where the smoke comes out. if indeed the seals, I think ill attempt to change em. its a lot cheaper than a new head or engine. just need the tools .

So it's decided, I am buying a second vehicle, small ford ranger most likely, then parking the Balt in the shop and tearing the engine apart. Most likely building the head, possibly the block. Since its it will be apart anyway. Depends how the Pistons look I guess.
