well monthly payments are goin to range depending on the term, interest rate, and vehicle cost. mine was 14,500 plus tax, interest was 7.9% i believe, term was 60 months with 0 down and im paying 315 a month.

insurance is going to rape you unless its under your dads name. how old are you?

monthly payments on car will vary depending on how u finance it
will you have your own insurance plan?

I am teen driver and pay $400 month for 72 months for my new 2010 ss and my insurance is also $400 month new driver and my own policy

im in the same situation, its hard to afford the ss/tc while in college, it feels like almost all the money i make goes to either car payment or insurance

Save your money and buy it when you're done school man. If you're only making about $600 a month for 8 months of the year, you can't afford it. Enjoy having no car payment and save all the money that you would have spend on the payments for your car you have now.

he can afford if he gets a used one for around 14k. monthly payments will be around 300 a month and since insurance is under his dads name then it will prob be less than 200 a month

or do what i did with my car, get your dad to buy the car, and just pay him. i dont pay any interest or a monthly rate, i just pay when i can. i have the money in my bank right now to finish it off, but my dad wants to wait till i have a bit more money before he takes it

you probably could sell your car privately and get 9k easy towards the tc. so then your payments would be lower

THIS!! just wait and finish school man. Say you make $700 a month during school months, payments of $350 plus $200 for insurance would leave you with $150 for gas and spending money!! Save up.

i kinda have to agree with this, i love my car but it sucks having very little spending money at 21 while paying for a new car, ive even thought about selling it in the future and getting something cheaper for a few years until i save up and am done with school

I would do what has been recommended

Save up all your extra money, drive your car since its paid off

When done school take all saved money, sell your car

Buy something new and nice
