Ideas for Turbo upgrade

I have been doing a whole lot of reading on here for the past couple weeks. I have come up with 3 options that I want to get opinions on. I am not stating anything as fact, if I am wrong with anything please tell me. I want to upgrade for some bigger power thanks in part to the BNR upgrade thread. I have come up with the following and would like opinions. Keeping in mind my current mods are: Trifecta Dual Tune, Clear Image Short Ram Intake, and the Clear Image cat-less Downpipe.

Also, I have to tack on a clutch to any of these 3 options (about $1400-$1500 installed), which to be honest, is probably pushing the ZZP upgrade out of what I can spend... Anyways, here's what I have put together along with what I believe my estimated power output to be based on what I have read:

zzp - Stg 2 $3150 @ 430hp
$24/hp

BNR - Stg 1 $900
ZZP Pipes $400
TR11 I/c $250
Tune $200
Total $1750 @ 360hp
$29.10/hp

BNR - Stg 2 $1200
ZZP Pipes $520
BOV $200
TR 11I/c $250
Tune $200
Total $2170 @ 400hp
$21.70/hp

Am I missing anything in my cost estimates? My $/hp I calculated assuming I am making 300hp right now which I know may be optimistic. But based on that, it would seem the BNR would be the best deal, but in reality, is it?

What would be the best way to go on a daily driver that needs to stay reliable? Any discussion and ideas is more then welcome. Please no trash talk, if you say something that's out in left field, back it up so I can make an educated decision here.

I am going with the BNR stage 2 if I upgrade this fall. I already have most of the things you are listing there. As far as a daily driver recommendation its really up to how you drive the car. I like the BNR because it is a direct bolt on in stage 1 and stage 2 is only a little bit of modification. They send you the parts anyways so I count that as bolt on.

That is a plus in my book also... I use my car as my commuter. If I do have any 'fun' with her, it's highway roll-on's. No drag racing from a stop.

Need to figure the price of a tune or retune. I think those HP numbers are a little optimistic.

Good point. I forget how much Vince charges for re-tunes but I think I want to buy the cable from him this time... Edited original post with this in there....

Do you think my HP estimates on the BNR turbos are too optimistic? I know the ZZP is accurate because they have the dyno chart posted... I am waiting for the BNR thread to post some numbers, but I took these numbers from what they list on their site as what the turbo's are rated at.

Wouldn't the BNR stage 2 also be an external wastegate? Or am I confusing this with a BOV?

Lol, thanks... Yeah, that's pretty much the reason the ZZP kit hasn't been purchased already... $3200 for the ZZP and $1500 for a clutch is going to be quite a bit over my budget...

Treadstone would be something I would consider, I have liked what I have seen of theirs on here... I'll try to find some info myself, but do you know where I can get some info on that?

You should also consider the tranny mounts along with that

It's hard to spend the money on the clutch first because it doesn't net you any "crotch tingling" rise in performance, but it would be better to go ahead and do the clutch first if you can't afford the entire bowl of wax.

I can afford going the BNR route and clutch all at once, I could not do the ZZP and clutch at once, and honestly, I don't see myself wanting to spend that kind of money any time soon... I guess I am leaning hard towards the two BNR kits afterall... I am anxious to see what kind of numbers they start putting down to see if at least the Stage 2 can compete with the ZZP in terms of performance.
