Insight please.

Well today I drove my car pretty hard for the first time. Seems like boost fluctuates when at full throttle. Any way did my first NLS today seems like the car pulled okay. Well I was kind of worried checked the Charge piping to make sure it didn't move. Let me know if you think it has moved seems like its siting kind of off the housing. Car seemed like it was hot too I could smell a burning smell but mind you this is the first I have really let the car build boost threw a few gears. 199 for a coolant temp. Today outside is 90. Maybe turbo breaking in??? Car has just under 700miles on the od. What are your thoughts.

boost shouldnt fluctuate. if it is check the hose that connects the cold side charge piping (leading into the intake manifold). The hose plugs in right before the MAP sensor. make sure its connected good with no holes. Its responsible for keeping your fuel/air mixtures in check. When those go out of wack the boost fluctuates as it nears max boost.

When mine was broke off, the boost never made it to 14psi when it could go past 15psi before. then it would flutter bad in 3rd 4th and 5th gear under WOT.

forgot to ask:

Did you get any CELs?

No codes. Were is the maf at before the intake manifold. Sounded like something broke off after i lifted so should i check by the maf and could you possibly show me in a pic were to look for the hole???

boost goes to 15 psi and stays on the screen but feels like it fluctuates just a little.

well, im at work till late tonight, if you go out and lift your hood up. follow the charge piping that goes from the intercooler into the engine. you'll see a 3-way adapter ontop of the engine above the left side of the intake manifold with three rubber hoses with 1 in diameters coming from it. one of those hoses leads to the intake manifold, one hose leads to the back of the engine somewhere. and the third hose leads to the charge pipe, right before the map sensor. check to see if that hose has holes in it or is not connected at the maf sensor side.

I had this problem after a piece of debris hit my bumper and knocked it out. No CEL will come up.

if that hose is fine, check the other two hoses.

The one that leads to the back of the motor gets close to the turbo, you said you smelled burning...was it burning rubber? check if there is a hole there. The other hose I doubt got a hole.

EDIT:
well if you get 15psi, just check to see if it flutters over the 15psi number, it shouldnt move. if it flutters just do what I said above.

Turbo line is connected.....maf line is connected along with maf. All piping is connected. Im going to go drive this thing and see if it will build over 15psi.

Yep I was being **** like always. Just took it out and did a few 1st threw 3rd for the first time with no nls and boy this car pulls pretty damn good had to shut it down at 90. Boost spikes at 16 at first part of gear then drops to 14 then stays at 15. I wasn't in boost long enough earlier. Thanks A-LOT for the help i appreciate it.

yea, I thought you meant fluctuations like I had.. rises to maybe 14psi then drops to 10psi, then rises again then drops... those are some serious fluctuations. lol.

Are you questioning how far the hose fitting is inside the hose? I would say it is far enough. Your secone picture is a little blorry but there is a ridge on the fitting and the hose only goes up to that ridge, not over it. I just finished the install on my new charge pipes and that's the way mine fit.
