If the stage kit comes with an intake it probobly is gonna be a cheap intake. If GM can make these cars with plastic charge piping and airboxes what makes you think theyll wip a fine crafted aluminam CAI out of their ass that flows so well it brings these current intakes to shame

^^its possible but will it happen who knows....... i mean think about it though. if they made the car with aluminum intake piping and stuff there would be no market really for aftermarket companies. i guess to some degree it helps everyone out. also if gives companies a chance to compete for making their products better. i mean the evo 8 and 9 come with aluminum piping for the intercooler(not sure about the evo 10) but most people still change it out for aftermarket pipes.

yeah good luck with the gm stage kit intake. Look under the hood of your car and then ask yourself if you think GM is coming out with a quality intake. I'll stick with an aftermarket intake thank you. To tell you the truth I'm not full convinced the stage kit is coming out. I have been debating this since last november. GM does not do the logical thing. They are charging $500 or $600 for just a tune and some sensors which will be a very high profit margin but yet they don't come out with it. DUH! just release it

they can get away with 500-600 for stage kit because its warrentied. Which means now when you **** **** up they have to fix it for free. But they dont really care cause they are paying those guys hourly to dick around the shop anyways and wait to fix ****

yeah you do keep your warranty that is true. 99% of the time an aftermarket tune will go unnoticed or they won't give a ****. I just have way too many plans to worry about a warranty. If something breaks and they won't fix it then oh well. That is the risk I will take. But when i am blowing by ya in my (soon to be) 16g upgraded ss/tc just remember you have your warranty lol

lol nice. Either way they have to prove that the mod ruined your car. GM has a tune anyways so they would be hypacrits lol. i just wanna get mine to 20 psi that will be enough for me.

hahns seems to be a better company imo so i say go with them, and they cant void ur warranty for intake. dealers always say intake and cat-back are fine everything else is questionable. And u dont want the gm intake they suck, get one from a great performance vendor. plus u can just buy the tune separate from the intake, just like all the stage kits on the ss/sc

Dont bother with the 16G turbo I dont think It can outflow a properly tuned full flowing Stock turbo. I made 350whp @ 6800 RPMS 340 wtrq @ 4200 RPMS STD. on the stock turbo no wheel upgrade or anything. It flows nearly 38lbs/ min at 6800 rpms. I dont know why everyone elses power drops off over 6K rpms mine just keeps pulling.

Pardon the newb question, but what options did you guys order or would you recommend along with the intake (check valve, AEM DryFilter, etc. ... I guess I'm kind of clueless (I'm admitting it) and I want to order everything from Dejon in one sitting so when it arrives I can install and enjoy.

I have an injen cai and love it. and the benefit to that is that you can set it up as either a sri or cai this way you can try them both out and decide which you like. I'd go with that

Post your graph......I've heard that everytime you mention your dyno. It is a dyno-com, but lets see your graph of power not dropping off after 6k on a stock K04. Just not possible on stock w/ the K04 Map's I've seen unless you clipped or did something else to the turbo. Thats the main reason to go w/ the BTF upgrade, power up to 7k rpms

This is they only pull I have and it is actually the lowest of them all. He let off too soon on this on that is why there is a little spike at the end of the graph. Doesnt not drop off much at all. Peak HP on the best run was seen at a 6700 it was 339 whp. This run he put a little too much fuel in A/F was in the low 11s at above 6K.
