Hi all,

I'm going to be ordering the zzp intercooler/charge piping kit in the next few days. I am not going to get my car tuned until mid july; however, I'd like to install the kit as soon as I get it. To anyone who has upgraded their intercooler / charge piping, did you throw any codes by running it for a few weeks without a retune?

You should be fine but will not be able to exploit the upgrades to their full potential without a tune.

 

Ya I know, thats why I'm getting dyno tuned mid july. More concerned about putting it on and the car not liking it throwing up codes everywhere.

 

you can install all the parts you want without a tune. the first day or so the car will seem quicker/faster but then the ECU gets smart and automatically de-tunes your car for you. Its called learn down. I installed all my parts and then got a tune. i installed them all over the course of like 3 or 4 months too.

I need the charge piping as well though, how much does it come to with those, do you know?

 

PM Zoomer. I think you get the intercooler at the group rate and then free shipping on the pipes. Not sure

 

I know there was at least 1 person, possibly 2 that ordered the full ZZP IC/CP kit as part of the group buy and got a pretty nice deal on the combo. Go to the thread, email Zoomer and jump on the deal while you still can.

And yes the group buy is still open

 

I would get in on the ZZP IC group buy and save a little cash and help us get 20 peeps

Nice charge pipes for sure, get the upgraded Couplers at the same time

Intercooler is a nice piece

 

I PMed and e-mailed zoomer. I did the calculations up and shipped directly off zzp the intercooler package was $813; however, $300 intercooler with charge pipes / couplers even with free shipping it was $850. I'm assuming / hoping zzp will do a better deal on the whole package because individually it costs much more. Even if it was just the $50 off the package with free and hopefully free shipping I would be a very happy person.

 

You won't throw codes. Ask me how I know.
