Intercooler Question

my bolts ons are going to begin next week and I'm going to start with the intercooler charge piping. Have been wondering though if I should get a different intercooler as well while I have everything apart. Or if the stock intercooler is good enough.

You could change it dont have to tho. Some change it because they say the endtanks could brake on the stock one.

Or if your in a hot area the zzp intercooler will help keep the Temps lower at Wot unless u race alot the stocker works fine. It will break from hitting the nose or high boost in cold weather

No reason to change until it breaks. I had a brand new stock intercooler installed when i bought mine. After being tuned it only lasted about 6 months.

Mine popped in the dead of winter.

To each their own, but if you ask me, its only a matter of when, not if it happens.

Alright. As well just quickly. Anyone have an exhaust they'd recommend? I was thinking the TurboXS RFL but not sure. What's everyone's opinion?

TurboXS does make a great exhaust, can't go wrong with the FL or RFL, I run the FL on my SS, sounds great.

The car is not a winter vehicle, and wont be raced often.

Intercooler Question

Get an IC before your stock one breaks at an inconvenient time. ZZP's are the best.

Get the smaller ZZP one for better ground clearance, and reliability. By the way you describe your driving though the stock one may last you awhile. With the stock turbo they actually work very well. You won't really gain any hp by swapping it.

I'm not really looking for gains by swapping it. I more or less just meant for reliability, and because at some point it's going to get a bigger turbo. And because I'm already going to have to rip the front bumper off for the piping I figured I might as well do the intercooler too.

Side note, does the zzp intercooler work fit with Hahn charge pipes?

Cause that's my plan if so.

Flow wise there is little reason to change the stocker. Should have clarified.
