in a jam

i need some help here.

iam trying to support the weight of my LNF motor on a support beam running across from the passenger strut tower to the driver crash bar right behind the driver head light.

iam doing this cause iam removing the transmission to do a clutch install.

best idea so far ive had is to make a bracket of some kind and bolt it to the side of the head. there are 2 13mm bolts on the side one next to the fuel pump and one is for holding a ground wire.

good or bad idea.....any help would be awesome

Remove passenger cradle bolts also including the steering knuckle bolt and the sway bar kinks from strut and the end.links from spindle. Support the engine with a hoist or somthing to hold it up like a Jake. Remove fuse box cover and linkage along with ecm and anything in the way. Remove mounts tranny mounts... Also remove intake from turbo and charge pipe just in case if it moves enough. Then lower engine and tranny and remove bolts. Remove hydraulic lines as well.

its an idea.... i dindnt want to remove the entire engine though. dont have a cherry picker as well as its on jacks so its not coming down either.

no anchor point then on this motor. i cant see anything.

wondering if i did have a cherry picker where would u hook the chains anyways.

i hope these 2 bolts can support the motor. heard it weighs about 300lbs. if not i guess i might need a new head.

You use the threaded holes on the side of the head. This is where the engine support hooks or chain attatches to a bolt. These engines don't have factory lift hooks.
