Lost boost but no CEL

I was driving down the highway on a 5 hr trip and my car started "bucking" and no boost over like 3-5psi but no CEL came on. I stopped and checked for a loose charge pipe but everything looked alright, so I started it up and it ran fine after that. Do you think it was a stuck bypass valve?

No way for us to guess without a CEL to go by. There are too many possibilities. You can have your car scanned and see if there were codes set that didn't actually trigger the CEL.

I was just hoping someone would have similar experiences with the bypass valve and know. I doubt it logged any data without throwing a CEL.

You'd be surprised. There are codes all the time on mine that never set the CEL. Usually misfires, but you get my meaning.

this happened to me once in a while just casual driving. I'd lose boost and then soon after regain it. I never worried about it since it ran fine after.

Yeah, you have the dreaded wiring issue. The A/C drips on the wiring or the wiring wasn't soldered correctly, or the solder joints are all at the same point and were taped together where they finally started wearing through the heatshrink and arcing.
