Just got dyno'd and the numbers seem low

I just got my car dyno'd at my buddies shop on Friday. We did 3 pulls and the best of the 3 got me 304 whp and 331 wtq. These pulls were run on a dynojet. Air temperature was cool at about 70 degrees outside.

Here are my mods:
Trifecta tune boosting at 23 psi
Catless downpipe
Hahn catback
Dejon SRI
MPx front mount intercooler
Injen charge pipes

After looking at several members power numbers, they are all higher than mine with less mods than I have. What gives?

Can you post teh graph? Some dyno's are just stingy on numbers, if the band is nice and flat then I wouldn't worry about it at all

That from what I understand actually seems about right. It also depends on what kind of dyno you used. If you use a mustang that is calibrated correctly your more than likely spot on. If you use a dynojet dyno normally they read about 10% higher if calibrated corrected. 304WHP sounds about right and is pretty dang good.

It's actually not very smooth at all....pretty choppy in fact, especially the torque curve. I wouldn't even call it a curve. We didn't hook up the wideband so we can see the AFR, I just thought Vince would have that down with the datalogging I've sent him. I'll take a picture of the graph when I get home and post it up. My buddies Dynojet is very consistent is isn't a low reading Dynojet. My last two cars were Cobras, both of which I've had tuned at a few different places. I had my buddy throw them on his dyno and they were almost exactly what the other shops' Dynojets were reading.

Ive seen some dual tunes where the boost fluctuated a bit and made a "choppy" tq curve then was stingy on the hp up top. Can you post the graph? Even superbrown post or link yours too

Looks like you are missing some boost down low, the tq usually bumps up a bit quicker on these cars.

After listening to the vid, it doesn't sound quite right. Could just be the vid but the power/tq is def coming on very slowly!

You want the red line here, blue is with meth. Red line is basic bolt ons with 22psi and no meth.

yeah man something is going on there.. even a low reading dyno should show a good curve if everything is good... Here is mine for example... on a VERY stingy mustang dyno...

Yes, 3rd. That mess in the top of the pulls is likely Cat Overtemp Protection

Try again LOL!

Correct, it's an internal calculation that can be nulled out. Im just not sure if Vince does that or not!

Red line was really hot to at that pull, im assuming it didnt gargle at the end like the other one because the cat protect was tuned out?? (like it should be with no cats?)

I know that vince has the check engine light disabled for the cat. So it doesnt throw any codes. The other thing is that my car should spike at 25psi,the max it hits is 23.5 or so. Its never hit 25psi

Thanks for resizing it for me, I damn near missed my flight the other day. LOL

So am I just too picky, or does my torque seem a little low? I emailed this to Vince and he said these were great numbers. I just have a hard time seeing guys with less mods dynoing at 360-380 wtq.

Yea, 3-4K seems to not be responding correctly. Should be a Tq spike there.

Lol I ran on a Mustang Dyno a couple months ago exact same HP as you 269.3 but my Torque is at 320.4 (also on a mild 22PSi Trifecta Tune)

He can turn off cat overtemp protection and cat warmup mode, ask me how I know

Is it just me or does the power curve look a little sketchy at best. Im liking the curve on the graph that ricecop posted very smooth. Or is that normal on a turbo'd car. Not sure as I have never owned one.

I put mine on a dynojet dyno in spring and got 290whp & 350wtq. The hp seemed a bit low to me. My mods at the time were 22.5 psi Trifecta tune, injen cp, CIA catted dp. The shop said my clutch looked as if it may have been slipping a little. I switched to catless dp, ZZP IC, and added a K&N intake. I'm going to dyno again in the spring.
