just ordered megan downpipe

Ok like the title says I ordered a Megan Racing downpipe today and just realized its a 2.5". Is there a big enough difference between it and the 3" (besides the extra .5") that I should send it right back as soon as I get it or should I keep it? Thanks

You're wrong. They're talking about the exhaust, not the DP. The DP is 3".

after nearly two weeks of waiting because of fedex my downpipe came in today and I got in on in less than an hour with just jack stands. It sounds so much better now!!!! I am definately in love. One question however I noticed on my RPD that my A/F ratio was swinging quite a bit(between 12 and 16) and when slowing down in gear the a/f would peg out at 18. Is that normal without a tune and also is it that bad to leave it without a tune for a few months?

its normal and ive had mine on since mid dec without tune and never had a cel or anything add the rest of your power mods and get a tune later and youll be fine and either get an exhaust or muffler delete or diff muffler cause stock with dp sounds like poo poo

I did get a CEL but its not in limp mode or anything Ill check the code out tomorrow at autozome or something. Im not too worried about it though. What did you do with your exhaust did you leave the muffler on or what? Im thinking about having a 3" pipe added on after the downpipe just straight back through the cut out and not having a muffler. Ideas?

I would not suggest a straight catless combo I did it for a little while so loud and raspy and loud doesent bother me. It did sound good at idle very light throttle low rpm but WOT did not just my opinion.
The exhaust in my sig is what im running to me its the best kind of setup full 3'' turbo back with a good straight through muffler. It has the idle/low rpm turbo whistle but no rasp and ver good tone high rpm wot

So you didnt like the rasp? And do you think it might hurt the turbo to just run it open like that?

No not really and it was just obnoxious you know how there is clean loud like a top fuel drag and just stupid loud it was the 2nd. It was a little funny driving through downtown houston echoing of the buildings but I was afraid I was going to get pulled over the whole time.

shouldnt hurt the turbo though

I am in love with that rasp it has now when the turbo boosts. When I had my downpipe off I started it for a second to hear it.. That was pretty awesome but I shut it off in case it might hurt anything.

You shouldn't get one in the first place I ran two different Megan dp's and another car here has one for the last 20k+ miles not one code
