K&N drop in

I bought my 2008 Cobalt SS about a month ago and noticed it had the drop in filter installed. Assuming it was a K&N I bought the K&N filter recharge kit and followed the instructions to clean and oil my filter. After reinstalling the filter I feel like my car is a bit sluggish. Has anyone experienced this before with the drop in filter?

Thanks

If you think you may have over-oiled the filter, just get some MAF sensor cleaner from Autozone and spray the MAF sensor with that. You can wrap the K&N filter in newspaper for a few hours to help absorb excess oil.
