K&N SRI Install
Instructions say you need a 3mm allen key, what they don’t say is you also need a 3/16 or a 5/32 (sorry put my tools away can’t remember the right size!) allen key if you’re going to need the T-Shaped bracket. You’d think they’d throw in a couple of cheap Chinese allen keys for $460 bucks list!
10mm Socket, should say “10mm deep well”, otherwise you’ll be hand wrenching the heat shield hold down nuts for a bit.
The “extension” is for the 5/16 socket to get down to the clamp on the turbo end. I used a 10” extension plus a U-joint to get to the original clamp. My 5/16 socket was a 1/4 inch drive so I had to hunt for a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter.
Following the install directions went pretty smooth. Two exceptions, I didn’t pull the connector off the MAF, I just removed the two screws and pull the unit out with the MAF inside. Put it on the same way too (use the 3mm allen key here). Also, if I were you, I’d put the plastic vent npt fitting on AFTER you install the intake tube, just so you don’t accidentally bust it off trying to maneuver the pipe into place.
Hopefully in the spring I'll get it out of the garage and try it out!
Unboxed, looks like everything is there:

Old Airbox and tube out, spacers and T-Bracket Installed:

Heat Shield in place:

Intake tube to turbo connection:

Intake tube installed, vent and MAF connected:

Install Complete! There is some debate on where the pleat should go...

The old stuff:

My metal pleat is at 11:30 or I get a Code. You might have to orient yours a little left.
Other than that nice writeup.
Though.... if really hope you didn't pay $460 for this.

I hope you also ordered other stuff and you didn't include that in the pictures.
Take it off and return it, then go spend less than half at any other website for the same exact product.

If you have a dealer telling you that go to another dealer. That's ridiculous. If you don't have a dealer telling you that, and you shouldn't, stop making assumptions.
