K&N intake fitment
Less than impressed by the K&N intake. A bunch of non-stainless hardware, and the MAF, of all damn things, will likely hit or touch the rubber under hard acceleration or braking. The vibration from that will likely throw off the MAF reading. I've tried adjusting the shield and intake a variety of different ways, and none were great. I may take a Dremel to it at some point.
Why's it so damn hard to make a decent aftermarket part...

Dont worry, mines the same way. I tried a multitude of different ways of mounting it and I cant get it to move away from that heat shield. Only option is to trim the heat shield but no one should have to worry about that...
Mine doesnt hit though so you maybe in the clear.

With the addition of my stage 2 mounts mine comes pretty close to touching. I have 4k on it and not a single issue. So long as you arent getting a ton of pressure against it, the MAF should be fine. From the picture you provided it doesnt seem that you have any pressure at all on the MAF and there is still the fluff of the rubber surround before it would make contact.

I wouldn't be surprised if touching the rubber piece skewed the MAF readings, especially if it's intermittent contact.
Logged the K&N today, and it is amazingly similar in calibration to the Hahn. Like nearly dead on.

dumb question, but do you have the intake part all the way on the coupler that goes on the turbo? mine first looked like yours and then i realized it could go on another half inch and then it was good. I have stock mounts though.
