Need LNF upgraded clutch in a HURRY!!!
My SS is in the dealership, they pulled the engine and told me while it is out that my clutch is down to like 30% life left. They say they will swap in a new one at no labor cost since it is already apart. But i hate to have them put another stock clutch in there. That thing slipped like crazy at high rpm. Where can i get a good upgraded clutch kit like NOW... I am saving like $900 in labor... so it is worth it to spend whatever on overnight shipping or what not.
Who has LNF clutches in stock and ready to ship out FAST... Or better yet, would anyone in OHIO (cleveland area) have them in stock?
i did some reading, and hear good things about Exedy and ZZP clutches... but they are $$$. I hear KY makes a great clutch for the money... but i cant find ANYONE that sells them... let alone could have them to me ASAP. and then there is SPEC, and fidenza, which have several mixed reviews.
So, what do you think? what clutch and where can i get it in a hurry?

and what exactly would they give me if i followed your instructions? how does that compare to others they offer and to other competitors?
they will know who you are just by saying james sent me? You the only james in kentucky?
i went to their website, but they really dont have any info at all on it... so i have no idea what my options are... what to get, how what compares to what else...
I was thinking like the ZZP stage 4+ or similar.... or perhaps like a spec stage 3 or 3+
how does that compare to what you are suggesting from ky?
what options do i have for flywheel? should i go aluminum or lightened steel? or just keep stock?

I am there guy who tests parts for them. There clutches are mint. Ive blown two clutchmasters up and one.spec. Zzp is good but you dont get a good warranty with them and there price is real steep. Ky clutch ranges from 290-400 shipped. If ure lower mileage dont get a throwout bearing itll save u $ ... We have tested the clutches to see breaking point and we tested.there.presure plates and friction disc. Pressure plate can hold up to 2000 ft lbs clampi.g+ and friction disc for the basic six puck would handle 650+ easy ft lbs.... Trust me on this there clutches are a+ ... Engagment is great and power holding ability is the same.

what options are there? why do you suggest the 6-puck ceramic... are there different choices in pressure plates? Do they offer any flywheel options?
My car only has 32k miles on it... it is in the dealership getting a new engine and turbo, as they found debris in the oil and are replacing everything under drivetrain warranty.
How much is a throwout bearing? i would hate to skimp and save $50 and then have it go bad and need to replace a $500 clutch and $800 of labor....
I like to build for the future... better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it...
