Screeching when going into 2nd?
I have a 08 cobalt ss and when I punch it in first and hit second there is this annoying screech when letting go the clutch. This only happens when I do not have compettive mode on.. any ideas?

The car is bone stock with 9,000 miles on it... Ive never heard the noise either..

Could it be the clutch pedal squeaking? Or is it worse than that. My car the clutch pedal squeaks sometimes.

My clutch pedal used to squeak but this is loud and outside the car. What would I tell them the dealership?

a squeak, squeal and screech are totally differen't sounds. if you can try and get a video of it, that will help us help you

don't tell them anything, tell them you want to show the foreman because its hard to describe and they will go on a roadtest with you

I can try and get a video of me going into 2nd. If I were to take it into the dealership, I would take the guy for a ride and hammer on the car? lol

But it seems to only happen when I abuse the car -_- I'm at a loss. Thanks for all you guys help. I'm going to take it in tomorrow and I will let y'all know what the deal is.

If its during a NLS from 1st to 2nd, thats normal. Just a lil belt slippage from the sudden rpm change.
