Yea true but we'll let the tuners decide if its worth it or not. Hope they fixed the problem though.

12hp "Now thats something you can FEEL!" *cough bullshit cough*

I dunno i was exited about this intake and all but I dont see it being any different than any other intake. Best Short ram I think becasue of all of the mounting locations and the heat shield, but honestly I think id rather have my Hahn. Curious as to how the BOV sounds. Every intake so far makes it have a different tone. Wanna hear this ones.

Unless they put an air straightner in it, the MAF is way to close to the filter to not throw it off IMO.

it should be alright.... K&N does alot of testing on their intakes before they make them. They obviously had a problem they needed to solve before they released it because they are usually ontop of releasing new product when new cars come out... this took 2 years.

Thats what all companies say. The AEM intake was made by AEM which is huge in intakes made a shitty one that collapses and surges.

I'd like someone from K&N to clarify just how they had gains on an engine that otherwise learns down.

The ECU doesnt instantly learn down, they probably installed it and ran it on the dyno before the car learned down

It is a calculated gain based on something they did I would guess . They must have seen better flow and calculated the gain based on the amount of flow vs the stock. Which means it still can skew MAF sensors.

I think it is time to stop bashing K&N till we see the results .. I mean this intake doesn't look like it was made in a garage. Everything fits 100% they include a heat shield, the silicone elbow is the only thing that worries me but it looks like it is a rubber plastic and not a silicone material.

Looks real promising.

You are right... this particular part has been in design for almost 2 years - hence the anticipation...
